Sweater Weather

Sweater: Jeanne Pierre; Scarf: Madewell; Dress: Urban Outfitters; Boots: Jeffrey Campbell; Bag: Fossil Sweater: Jeanne Pierre; Scarf: Madewell; Dress: Urban Outfitters; Boots: Jeffrey Campbell; Bag: Fossil

This is me, oddly looking like the poster child for the Aryan race. Why the hell am I so blonde? I swear, I don't look like this in real life. I mean, it's not like I look like this or anything, but you know.

We took these shots yesterday on a cool, foggy evening. And by we, I mean myself and my estranged boyfriend, because lately every time we hang out I've been making him gently suggesting he take pictures of me for the ol' blog, because let's face it: after nearly two years of taking your own pics with a tripod and self-timer, that shit gets a little old. He's a good sport about it too, especially because photoshoots can be dangerous. For the record, it was not my idea to hike down that slippery, muddy hill to get to a better location.

Anyway, I picked up this sweater earlier in the week at my favorite local department store for a total steal. I think it was like, $9.60 or something on super-clearance. There's not even anything wrong with it.

  1. Gorgeous! And that is a crazy steal for that sweater - what an awesome deal! I really love it paired with the scarf.

He took great pictures even if he ended up falling down - so it was worth it? LOL

  3. I just noticed how long your hair is getting. When the hell did that happen? I guess I don't pay attention to these sorts of things until they smack me in the face.

I really need to invest in a tripod. Actually, most of my better pictures are mirror pictures. When other people take my picture, they take it at the wrong angle, so my double chin and overall grossness is in full effect. I'm not sure if a tripod would be any better, actually. Meh.

I wish there were epic photo shoot locations like that around here.

    1. It takes time to properly train friends and family with the camera. I've had this blog for two years and it took about that long to get el boyfriend to take post-worthy pictures that are in focus and don't cut my feet off. It CAN be done! Be a backseat photographer. It helps.

P.S. I know. About the hair, that is. I hate it.

  5. I need a photographer but I lack your balls... um... gumption to forcibly enlist a person nearby. Taking pictures by yourself is so hit-and-miss. And with a shape like mine, mostly miss.

You are so damn photogenic. Even when you wear rags... I mean, if you ever wore rags, you still shine like a supernova. Sometimes the intensity of it hurts my eyes.

  23. Haha...it's the same with my poor put-upon boyfriend. All my wonderful day trip suggestions are usually just thinly veiled 'let's take blog pictures' outings. Love your outfit here and that yellow polka dot scarf is a lovely colour pop to the outfit!
