Overall, I'm having a grand old time out here in the desert. We did some outdoorsy things yesterday, so today I'm ready for an afternoon of shopping, even though I think I only have about $4 left, because I spent lotsa money over the weekend at the 4th Avenue Street Fair in Tucson (post coming soon). That's where I got these lovely beautiful earrings. They're super lightweight, but still great quality.

In other news, I am tired of keeping an OCD-like eye out for snakes. I saw two yesterday. TWO. They're out there, people. Here's proof.

  1. OMG snakes, um creepy! I'd be freaking out. I'm sitting here shivering as I think of it. Ugg.

I do love your fun top and those earrings are gorgeous! The flower picture is very pretty too. Glad to see you're having a good time!

  2. You've got a J-Depp face going on in that first picture. Love it.

Anyway, sounds fun! (Even the snakes. So used to seeing snakes. Um, and tarantulas. I ran over one once on accident.) And hey, $4 can go a long way. Come to New Mexico with $4 and leave with, like, two wardrobes!

  3. When I went to Arizona about a billion years ago, we went horse back riding and there was a rattle snake (almost wrote snack...mmm rattle snacks) on the path and it scared the shit outta my mom.
These photos are so gorgeous, I am jealous of you wearing shorts. I love the crotchet top and those new earrings are so pretty!

  4. I'm very amused to hear that you walked on the same street as I did just a few weeks ago. You probably went into the same stores, touched the same clothes and saw the same salespeople. I guess I'm enjoying this because it's as close as I've gotten to you so far. Being a celebrity on the Internet, you always seemed a bit unreal to me; this common experience makes you seem more like an actual person.

Oh and... what's that over there?? SNAKE!!!

  7. Oh snap, snakes are the worst. I am the same way. I cant just take a nice relaxing hike because I am too concerned about snakes. Why cant we just destroy them all?

  9. For just a moment, I forgot you were on vacay and thought "what the hell? Northern MN look sooooo unusually summery"...lol. Loving your grunge-esque look made girly with the crochet. You got serious style.

  19. I came back for another visit to see if any of my readers followed my advice to check out your blog. Looking at your post, I can't help but add a second (and third) comment. Forgive my stalker-ish-ness.

The earring and top are, of course, phenomenal. Magazine-quality, professionally-produced image of female beauty. How you are able to create such images without a team of skilled pros amazes me.

But what's really affect me (and this is the third comment) are your eyes. Haunting. They remind me of why I first fell in love with your blog. Your eyes have a canyon of sorrow in them. I won't speculate at your unknown earlier life, but it seems as if you grew up during a war and saw unspeakable horrors. There's a depth to your soul that's coming out in your eyes.

Or perhaps not. Maybe I'm imagining the whole thing.
