Easy, Breezy, Boring & A Blogger Meet-up

This is the boring outfit I wore for about two hours yesterday before I got frustrated and took it off. Tight belts + vacations do not equal a good time. And I have a whole duffle bag full of them. I may or may not have been high while I was packing.

Oh well. Here's what you really want to see:

As some of you may already know, I had the fanfuckingtastic opportunity to meet up with Tracy of The Closet Shopper and her husband over the weekend. She was on vacation in Arizona too, so we got together for a little meet and greet. Tracy is one of my bestest blogging buddies and I feel like I've known her for years, so meeting her for the first time wasn't weird at all. We laughed. We cried. We pee'd. Together. In two-part harmony. Angels smiled in heaven. It was magical.

We had dinner at an Indian restaurant (which was my first experience with Indian food, because I'm an uncultured hick) followed by om-nom-nom gelato. Tracy came bearing birthday gifts, which was totally uncalled for but um, of course I scooped that shit up. Along with a scarf from H&M and a lollypop (tee hee), she got me the GORGEOUS metal bar necklace off of my birthday wishlist. I know, right?! Expect to see more pictures of it VERY soon.

Needless to say, it was a great time. Real-life Tracy is the exact same as blog-world Tracy, only a little more ripped looking. Words can't do justice here (or maybe my creative juices are on vacation, too), so I'll leave you with these pictures. Check out her blog for her version of the evening and more pictures!

  1. SO awesome that you got to meet up with a blogger whos also on vacation. And she brought you gifts?! What a fantastic human being
I love the white dress (and your white blouse!) but I hear you, tights belts have no place on vacation when I plan on gorging myself on food and drinks. And relaxing. How can I relax with a belt cutting into my belly?!

  5. You guys are hilarious! Hehe. Sounds like you two had some pee-tite adventures together. LOL, terrible joke. (Had to try!) Let me know if you ever come to NM. (Why would anyone come HERE, though? Yuck.)

Love the outfit as well! Majorly awesome. Since the weather is nice, I'm going to bust out my first dress of the season tomorrow.

    1. It's a great joke! We're both 5'2". Heels. Do want.

I want to meet you, too, and I'm sad because if I were driving back home instead of flying, I think I'd drive right past where you live. Well, not like your exact apartment building or whatever, but you know.

I keep seeing people in sweatshirts around here. Wut? This is about as warm as our summers get back home, and we all live in tank tops and jeans then.

    1. Thanks so much! I honestly don't know what I had, but it was delicious. We all shared a bit of everything. I know we had vegetable samosas, alu gobi, and naan. Lots and lots of naan. I'm not quite sure on names of the other dishes.

  26. As I wrote on Tracy's blog, you two are fated to be friends. You share many things, including the important ones like a quirky sense of humor.

As you know, I've met Tracy in person and can personally attest to her allure. I strongly suspect you exude the same appeal. It's wonderful the stars align and allow you guys to be friends. You'll benefit from her affection as much as she benefits from yours.

Damn... I was gonna be funny but here I am getting all mushy... The idea of you two being friends just makes me weak in the knees.

  27. Oooh pretty! I love the belt (color is fantastic) but I know exactly what you mean about tights belts and vacations. Just not meant to be. Isn't it great when blogger friends become in person friends, too?

  28. WHOA. There's too many great things to say about in this post that I just do not know where to start. But hey, can you blame me? ;) The polaroids look is perfection and SO ARE YOU in that cute spring white dress! AHH-MAZING.
