Yes, I realize it is November 29. Yes, I realize I am dressed like it's Halloween. But you know what? I don't see any snow out there, so that means it's perfectly acceptable to keep on with the autumn attire. Oh, and just so you know: I also realize that I wear these shoes and this clutch more than I probably should, but I love them, and they love me, so leave your judgement at the front door.
People here are complaining about the lack of snow. Last year, we had over 25" of snowfall in the month of November. This year, we've had 2", and it's already melted. So you get the whiners. "I sure do hope we get some snow this year! It's almost December!" You live in northern Minnesota. Trust me. You will get snow. "What if we don't have snow for Christmas?!" Christmas is almost a month away. You live in northern Minnesota. You will have snow for Christmas. "I'm ready for the snow! It needs to start getting colder here!" You live in northern Minnesota. The temperature probably won't exceed 5°F the whole month of January, and then you'll be bitching about how you're sick of freezing your ass off. So MNers, kindly STFU about the lack of snow. It will be here soon enough.
I'm still waiting for my Black Friday/Cyber Monday goodies to arrive. I might even dedicate a whole post to my purchases, because I am a sucker.
Top: Cheap Monday
Trousers: UO
Shoes: Steve Madden
Clutch: Fossil
Earrings: Vintage
The snow can stay away for as long as it wants. Ohio usually gets the snow in January, February and March, and it pretty much sucks.
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit. You nailed the lacy top with the bra look, without looking slutty (that's a compliment), I swear, lol! Heather
I love these pants.....the fit is great. Im totally into some of the baggier looks these days. (and they will be more forgiving after those yummy Holiday meals, lol)

Wow! That lace top is so va-va-voom! Gorgeous look. And I wouldn't care if it was autumn or not--these pants are way too cute to wear one season.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a whole post on your BF/CM goods---fun stuff!
Gorgeous! Love the lace top and the colour of your trousers, you look lovely :) xo
ReplyDeletei love the lacey top. and how you paired it with the orange pants(:

Snow has been hit or miss here for Christmas. It usually comes in January, resulting in snow days that totally screw up the syllabi of my courses. Bleagh. Anyway, I love the outfit, and if it loves you too, that's all the better! :P

I am very glad that you are so witty.
ReplyDeleteThose pants are great. I love the paperbag waste. Your beautiful in lace as well. I don't think you resemble Halloween in any way. But it made me giggle nonetheless. I'm a big fan of shoes and bag repeats as you know!
xoxo,
Tracy
your lacey top is a beauty. I say screw the snow! I for one am happy the winter has been mild. The snow is pretty for like five seconds then its just annoying. Annoying I tell you!
ReplyDeleteStop by & enter my giveaway!
True story: We are wearing almost the same outfit except I'm wearing the shorts version of your pants.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm just ready for some chilly weather so I can finally stop sweating to death in my tights.
Firstly love this outfit the trousers are such a nice colour and I love the whole styling. Secondly people just love something to moan about don't they?! Everyone is constantly moaning about the weather here 'We never get a nice summer' then when we do 'it's too hot' then we get a mild autumn 'Wish it'd get colder' and now I'm waiting for the cold weather to come and the 'It's too cold!' moans to come my way! lol
ReplyDeleteL x
I'm glad we haven't had snow yet! I mean, it's pretty and all but I hate it when it gets to that sludgetastic slippery stage when everyone falls over. Ok, not everyone - just me.
ReplyDeleteLoving that we've got a warmer climate compared to normal. Wore my coat for the FIRST TIME today. And usually in England, it comes out of the 'drobe as soon as September! So this is pretty impressive stuff.
Would love to see your buys! x x
Great outfit, love the colours and how pretty is that lace top. I think your really suit this look.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit does cry out for one of your Mum's white cardigans though :)
ahaha people do the same thing where I live. I cannot stand to listen to the news people either.. they complain about how hot it is or about how cold/snowy it is. Its like 'shut up and enjoy the fact that you woke up this morning to a new day'!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, cute lace shirt!

Your post title made me giggle, exactly what I need at this moment. I'm dressed like halloween today too, I dig it. I love the lace top and those pants are so amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow, but most of it's melted and people are bitching about wanting more. We had snow here until MAY last year, seriously people, we don't need snow right now.
I loved your comments on my last two posts, I'm glad the post got some good feedback. And I agree theres nothing worse than being around someone who hates themself all the time!

I like your Halloween outfit! ; ) That lace top is gorgeous! Gotta love Cheap Monday. And your pants - I was going to use a similar pair in a shoot this past weekend but the photographer didn't want any pants!
ReplyDeleteSemi sheer black lace and orange pants? Yes please! I for one am ecstatic that it's warm and the snow has melted-more time to stay warm and wear open toed shoes :)
ReplyDeleteLove the lace blouse!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled with the lack of snow. Absolutely thrilled.
Loving those pants! (and I am very glad you're witty ;) )

ohmygod i know people are complaing about no snow here as well!!!! i am totally thrilled last year there was snow for about five months, if you live in Ontario there will be snow sometime, i promise. I love your orange pants and lace top they look awesome together!!
ReplyDeleteits funny how people are always unsatisfied with the weather, when its hot, we want it cold, when its cold, we want it hot! lol
ReplyDeleteNow that I just got my new boots I'm totally welcoming snow with open arms.
ReplyDeleteStylish outfit. But you didn't need me to say that: your legion of fans already did.
ReplyDeleteOur temp hit 70 degrees today which is absurd for this time of year. I had to switch back from my mid-weight riding gloves to my perforated summer gloves. Normally, I'd be going the other direction, to my heavy-weight winter gloves. Fascinating anecdote, huh? She who lives by the weather dies by the weather.
You just pull off these pants so well- I love them even more every time you wear them! Excited to see your Black Friday goodies- I'm still waiting for my things to ship too!
ReplyDeletestar-crossed smile
I love that lace top. The weather here has been strangley warm too..can't complain right?
ReplyDeleteI yam so glad you are witty? Get it? yams are orange too. I should probably go on a stand-up comedy tour or something.
ReplyDeleteI love your orange pants and sheer lace top. So fashion forward and beautiful.
I live in Michigan and we are getting snow right now. Not cool. I may vomit. I hate it when people are so excited for snow. Umm it happens every year, and way too much so can it, losers!
So glad I came across your blog. Love your sense of humor. You've got yourself a new follower!

I'm with you! I'm loving this mild weather, and I don't want to hear about how you wish is was colder/snowier/more like winter when it is in fact still actually fall.
ReplyDeletehooray for exposed skin in late november!

I love this outfit! I think you look stunning xx
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to get caught up in the holiday hoopla - but it is still fall, after all! You can rock orange and black as long as you darn well please!

And why not?! The outfit obviously loves you. We're far away from snow here, too and if we're lucky we might not get any all winter. Oh shock!
ReplyDeleteluv black lace in the winter!

I'm not complaining about the lack of snow. I know we'll have it anyway! So, for now I'm enjoying unusually perfect, toasty weather. Besides we haven't had even a centimeter of snow this far - LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHahaha this post cracks me up!! My Hubs is from MN, Owatonna actually. And he HATES cold weather with a passion. lol That's why I could never envision us living any farther north than where we are now!
ReplyDeleteI think you look beautiful in those orange pants and black lacy top!
Love the combo of the lacy top with the more conservative tailored pants...great outfit...cool color combo. I am so dreading the start of the snow season here in Chicago!
ReplyDeleteLove your style!
So envious that you'll get snow for Christmas, it's so rare in the UK! Though to be fair, I wouldn't wanna swap the rest of the month :) You look lovely x
ReplyDeleteAs a northern Michigander (with no snow on the ground) I endorse this post.
ReplyDeleteThere you go again, pissing me off with how gorgeous you are. That black lace top is sexy as hell. And the not-quite-as-sexy-but-still-ridiculously-cute trousers balance out all that hotness perfectly. I totally agree with you: We need to hang out and wear suspenders together! I can see it now. And we look so adorable in my mind.

i wish i had had your confidence and sense of self when I was your age.
ReplyDeleteI think your outfit is lovely... snow or no snow. :) Love the colors and the lace top.
ReplyDeletehttp://shannonhearts.blogspot.com/
Those pants are delicious...I don't think colors should be restricted to specific seasons whenever they're this awesome.
ReplyDeletewww.thequirkypoet.blogspot.com
Love this look! I love orange and love wearing colour in the cooler months :) Love your hair too :)
ReplyDeleteLove, Vanilla
Love the style of the pants and the burnt orange color.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely don't have the problem of people whining about snow down here in Tennessee. People go stock up on toilet paper and milk if an inch is called for (and it gets covered on the news). Aside from that, I am definitely stuck in autumnal colors as well. I love your pants, I definitely wasn't thinking "Halloween" just "chic!".
ReplyDeleteHey witty girl!! You look great! How can anyone complain about NOT having snow? This sounds crazy to me! Kisses :)
ReplyDeleteCool pants. The color is sort of uncommon and I like the waist.
