I've gotten more than a few requests for make-up tutorials as of late, so I thought I'd oblige you all. I'll give you a disclaimer in advance: I'm not professional. I'm messy. I'm not precise. I mean, my eyebrows are asymmetrical for feck's sake. But, that being said, I still like to have fun with make-up, and these three looks have been some of my favorites this season. They're easy, peasy, and will take you about five minutes each. So let's get crackin', aye? Click the read more link for the tutorials!
The Bronze Bitsy
Start with a blank palette. I only have concealer and a little bit of powder on. Lovely, I know.
Run some bronzer (I used Physician's Formula Cashmere Wear) along your temples and cheeks. Use a pale gloss on your lips (I used Nivea lip gloss).
Swipe a light, bronzy colored eyeshadow along your lids (I used Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Sin') Shimmer is optional.
Thinly line the upper and lower lash lines with black eyeliner (I used Urban Decay eyeliner in 'Zero')
A coat or two of your favorite mascara...
And your'e all set! How easy was that?!
The Pink Pout
Again, start with a blank face. Just concealer and powder. I'm a winner, ain't I?
Put a little pinky-peach blush on the apples of your cheeks (I used Nars blush in 'Orgasm'). Use a bold, pink lipstick on your lips (I used Urban Decay lipstick in 'Buzzkill').
Grab a medium-brown eyeshadow (I used Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Smog') and spread some on your lids. Using a blending brush, smoothly blend the eyeshadow upward. You can just blend it up (left side), or you can blend it a bit off to the side to create a slight cat-eye effect (right side).
Take a flat brush (a brow brush also works) and dip in some dark grey or black eyeshadow. Use this to loosely line the top and bottom lash lines. Note: it looks better if it's not precisely done. So, the messier, the better!
Now, for more definition, line the top lash line with black eyeliner (I used Urban Decay eyeliner in 'Zero').
Throw on some mascara, and you're ready to rumble.
Once more, let's start with a naked face. Mmm mmm, good?
Whip out that pinky-peach blush and put a little on your cheeks (I used Nars blush in 'Orgasm').
Grab a coral lipstick and put it on! (I used CoverGirl lipstick in 'Temptation'.)
Swipe on a little medium-brown eyeshadow (I used Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Smog').
Using a silver liner, line the bottom lash line (I used Urban Decay eyeliner in 'Dime').
A single coat of mascara and out the door we go!
