I'm an only child. I know what to do with myself when I get bored. Sometimes it involves hair dye (u likey?!?), other times it involves a tripod and a self timer. But it always involves a good time!
I'm so behind on life right now. Forgive me.
Dress, scarf, boots: Urban Outfitters
Jacket: Abercrombie
I love the mirror picture. You're quite the talented photographer and photogenic woman. I really wish you lived in Philadelphia. I'd just drag you around the city all weekend and snap pictures of you. You'd be compensated with loads of makeup and nail polish, of course. ;]
ReplyDeleteDid you shoot all these outside with your self timer? Also, what aperture size and lens are you using for such excellent DOF?
Ashley, Do you know Francesca Woodman's photography from the '70s. If not, I think you would like it, and googling her name brings up lots of great work. Your mirror shot could be the undated version of some of her iconic images.
ReplyDeleteYou should be in photography--as model and photographer both!
OOH! I LOOOOVE your new hair!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd these photos are so cool! You look amazing :D

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I think you can pull off any hair color.
ReplyDeleteBoth reflection shots are totally kick ass. You are a masterful self portraitist.
Chic on the Cheap

OMIGOSH ASH- I LOOOVEEEE THE NEW HAIR!!! Sorry I got really excited and thought the caps would accentuate my point. Seriously though it looks amazing and this is such a spooky yet beautiful photoshoot.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodies! Did you really break into that cabin? Or is it yours? To preserve your badass-ness, I'd like to think you actually broke in hahah I also love the mirror photo. It was subtle but powerful. :)
ReplyDeleteNo way, these pictures are way cool. I love how your hair looks like, I know you told me you dyed your hair dark brown but it was still such a nice surprise to actually see it in photos, it added more extra "rawr" factor, I mean the "rawr" factor really really was there before but holy, I love your hair, length and color, it looks killah.
ReplyDeleteThe mirror shot is totally cool, I love how in the reflection of yourself your hair is down and you are only wearing your white dress, and you are actually wearing a pony tail and your jacket (on the other side)- genius shot.
The shots tell like a spooky haunted house kind of story, really cool.
Oh yeah!! That's the best color on you ever!! I love the spookiness and outfit and attitude!! (and manicure?? Respect!). Kisses!
ReplyDeletehehe, im an only child too :) i love how this photoshoot somehow has a storyline. hehe. awesome photos as always.

ReplyDeletethe lace dress with the masculine accessories is brilliant
I would love to go dark but the last time I tried dark highlights(is that a thing even) the only spot of gray on my entire head (the bangs) came crashing through after about a week.
I guess I just stay light

I LOVE these photos, especially that mirror shot. So jealous of your amazing backdrop. You look wonderful and the hem and fabric of your dress is wonderful.
ReplyDeletewoah, woah, woah- how did you do that mirror trick?
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is really weird. I didn't see this post until today, but as I was driving home from work yesterday, I found myself thinking totally out of the blue how stunning you'd look as a brunette! And then here you are! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! That tone of brown is perfect with your skin tone.
