Peggy Sue

I'm nerdy, but I'm not quite thick-rimmed, Buddy Holly glasses nerdy. These babies exist solely as a dress-up accessory (and to put dust particles into my eye which, in turn, scratch the shit out of my retina, but hey. That only happened once!). I like playing dress-up. I always have, and I always will. I used to pretend I was the Little Mermaid when I was younger by wearing my nightgown as a skirt and a bralette my mom got at our neighbor's garage sale. I also used to jump off the couch and dance around in circles. But wait. I still do that...

I think I've finally got my groove back. I'm even shopping again! Well, you know. I'm looking at ASOS.com a lot and loading up my cart. I'm not actually buying anything. But it's the thought that counts.

Jacket: Doma
Checkered shirt: GAP
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Steve Madden

  5. Thanks for your comment, lovely! Now you can see why I love F21 so :) We have Urban Outfitters in the UK but sometimes I'll shop from the US site online because they have things that the UK stores don't :)

Good ol' ASOS.com! I often fill up my basket, check the total it's reached and pass out for a bit - because it's THAT shocking. I love ASOS... but I don't love the money I spend there :S

Right, it's 2.30am here in England. After a sleepless couple of nights, I think I should at least try to sleep... Keep on dancing! x x

  6. Ha! I've done that "online shopping" thing for a month now at Urban Outfitters. I'd put things in my cart that I want then I forget about it. Next thing I know it's sold out. But I felt like I bought them. haha.

This jacket is hawt! And you just reminded me that I have this skirt in purple. Got to wear that some time.

  7. I love your leather jacket! It's great on you. I do that a lot when I online shop. I start adding things to my cart knowing that I will not buy them just yet. haha

  9. I LOVE everything about this outfit, but my fav. have to be the glasses! I'm so happy you have your groove back!! If you find my groove, please send it over, as this is the 4th day of sickness and coughing and fever and raining; and in all: it just SUCKS!!
p.s. - Isn't that the correct way of online shopping?? Kisses

  10. Glad your mojo is returning. We ebb and flow like that, often without explanation.

I love your inherent playful attitude. I wanted to play dress-up when I was young but... I put a sticker on my helmet a few years back that says, "It's Never Too Late To Have A Happy Childhood." :)

  11. Glassies!
Funny fact - I really wanted glasses for years, but the moment I got the pair I wear them now only when absolutely necessary - in theater, in cinema or watching TV. Ha!
And, oh, yeah, my asos cart is full all the time too! LOL

  14. :) You look beautiful girlie. I love your jacket. I can't find a nice leather jacket (that won't make my bank account scream at me) for the life of me but I'm still hunting!

I don't know how you don't freeze to death! All of our snow has melted here but it's still way too cold for me to wear anything much higher than my bare knees!!! :)

  15. Love the skirt, and your shirt. I wish I could wear something like that but - the weather although warmer at the moment still isn't all spring clothes friendly, therefore jeans are still on the wear list -sigh-. Oh well, I have to make the most out of my winter wear I guess!

On a side note, I will try to post pictures of my hair cut as soon as I can, it is too bad all I felt like doing this winter was lounge around my house in pijamas etc. and never documented my 1001 changes of hair styles and hair colors I had in less than 2 months LOL.

  27. Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog! (Sociology majors unite!) And sure, it'll be great to talk sociology! Though at the moment I can't think of anything - but I'm sure I'll get into trouble soon. (My professor just informed us of a big research paper. :/ )

Anyways - I love your outfit! I really like how you wore the checkered shirt with the leather jacket - and the glasses are an adorable accessory.

(I also used to jump off the couch, but that stopped once I knocked out my teeth on our coffee table... Hopefully no one is as unfortunate as I, haha)

  29. I have those same glasses (in black and in brown), and they are so fun!! I don't wear them a lot only because the plastic gets scratched easily and makes them odd to look through since it's not all the way clear, but I really love donning them for photos!! I have real glasses too, and somehow they're just not as fun. Very cute look on you.

I was thinking yesterday that I need to get back some of my childhood fervor of wearing play heels and tutus...

  30. Sexy! I have a very similar pair of prescription glasses which somehow feels nerdier than dressup pair! Cute skirt from Old Navy- sometimes they have the perfect outfit!

  31. Those thick rimmed glasses look really cute on you - whenever I try wearing them, I end up looking really, really dorky. And don't worry - I always load up my carts on shopping sites. But I never actually buy things. I just like dreaming of the day I can Go to Cart and Check out...
