Reddy

I'm having a fab weekend, and I hope you are too! Hives are totally cleared up...I don't have to work...my birthday is coming up...I'm heading to sunny skies in a week...Life. Is. Good. I spent some quality time at the mall with my momma this morning and found some really awesome deals. Remember those scarf hangers I was talking about in my last post? I found them on sale for 50% off, so I bought six of them. I also picked up a few other goodies, including another pair of boyfriend jeans (since, clearly, I love them) and a polka-dot scarf that will work great in my hair.

I got this Nanette Lepore coat a few years ago when I was down with spending $400 on one item of clothing. It kills me to think of it now, especially because only a month or two after I bought it, I lost a good 20 lbs and it's been too big ever since. Oh well. Live and learn, I guess.

I'm off to go continue cleaning my room. I hate when you KNOW you own something but, because you can never find it, you think maybe you imagined owning it and you never really had it at all. That's how I feel about the hat I'm looking for, except I know I own it because I've taken pictures of myself in it before. And really, how many places can a giant floppy hat hide?

Coat: Nanette Lepore
Blouse: Target
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Earrings: My Grandma's
Sunglasses: Ray-Bans

I have to say, I used to hate boyfriend jeans, but lately they have grown on me, so I think I might give them a try. :)

  8. Best thing about fashion? That you can pair a $400.00 jacket with a top from Target and look like a million bucks!

  11. You look so great, all the time! This colour really suits you, and with your outfits I always find perfection down to the feet. I can't wear heels since I (kind of) broke my ankle, and it breaks my heart! xox

Yeah you're so right, sometimes you buy stuff just to buy and these are mostely the stuff you'll never wear! But today I'm going to Primark, I think it's impossible to not spend money there haha.

  15. I'm glad the scratching part is over!! And you look great in red dots!! I'm sharing your rare ability on spending almost a month's salary on one thing that you love+absolutely must have (that particular time..) without feeling any guilt! And of course after I moved in with the bf and still have 1/3 of my things back at my parents house, I'm dreaming of "missing items" all the time... And you ROCK in jeans!! You almost make me wanna buy one for the first time! Have a lovely weekend!

  23. The colour of this coat is stunning beyond words. I'm very rarely down with spending $400 on piece, but if it's something as beautiful and unique as this, I think it's a worthwhile investment... unless you're going to lose a lot of weight :( It's a same it's too big, but it still looks fabulous worn open like this. Of course, I have a serious bias towards red trench coats because I idolised Carmen Sandiego when I was a kid :)

  24. That coat is gorgeous and I think you're getting away with it being too big - lets call it unstructured. I love it paired with the polka dots. And those shoes are such an unexpected colour - love it.

Good luck with the search for your hat. My wardrobe is a bit like that at the moment.

  33. You really look great in red! I love your top and jacket! So glad to hear your hives are gone. Good luck finding your floppy hat! I've misplaced items of clothing, I think there's a clothing monster in my house who eats them because I have no idea how they go missing! And my boyfriend is not my size so I know it's not him ; )

  37. I like it when a trench is too big. You can forgo the buttons and just wrap it in a tight cinch and tie it. I think it looks more elegant that way.

I love this coat and have always loved red clothes with red hair.
