Northwoods trollop

This skirt is short. Like, I will show you my cooter for a fifty cent piece short. It's not very flattering, either. I really have no idea why I still own it. It's been in my giveaway pile more than a few times, but I keep taking it out and putting it back into my closet. I guess I just knew that one day I'd want to dress up like a slutty lumberjack. Get me some suspenders and a rubber axe and I think I'm ready for Halloween!

It's finally starting to warm up here and I'm quite excited about that. I mean, I know winter is far from over, but it's a nice feeling to assume that the worst is behind us. I'm celebrating by wearing all my winter stuff this week. I love this shirt, but I generally think that buffalo plaid is a no-go after February, unless you're one of those emo kids with too much damn eyeliner and ear gauges. Yes, I stereotype here, but what is the appeal of having a giant, random hole in the middle of one's ear lobe? Kids these days.

Shirt: Wal-Mart
Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Jacket: Eddie Bauer
Shoes: Blowfish

  1. You're such a femme fatale in that hair.

I also do not understand stretching out ear lobes. It's ugly, unattractive, and when you get older and outgrow the plugs, you will have nasty dropping earlobes. Mmm, sexy.

  6. I find it really comic when young people, like you, complain about even younger people. A 22-year old friend of mine said she felt like a pedophile when attending a Justin Bieber concert because the rest of his fans were teenagers.

To put things into perspective, I'm older than dirt. I remember when Nixon was President. I remember JFK getting shot. I'm older than your grandmother...

    Your hair looks so fab.

  8. Just found your blog and after scrolling back a few posts I realized this hair color is new to you... I love it! When I first clicked over I thought, "oh, another gorgeous natural redhead. i'm jealous." The color is perfect.
And your bare legs in the snow are making me shiver... I'm suffering through some brutally cold Minnesota winter here and the thought of bare legs is unfathomable. can't wait till warmer weather...
Love you blog, I'm now a follower!

  30. I can't get over how pretty you look with your new hair color! I love the skirt, glad you didn't throw it away. I don't get why people put huge holes through their ears either. The skin will never grow back if you take the earrings out, you need to have a surgical procedure to do that.

  37. You should totally get that dress!!! And the higher neckline comes with a really short skirt, haha...so you still get a bit of hussy in there ;)
(I want to buy it, but I'm too much of a cheapo to do it XD)

  38. I wanted to respond to your comments. I can't believe you spun around on black ice, that must have been so scary! I'm glad you're okay.

And thanks for your comment today on my winnings. Now I don't feel so bad!

  39. Girl aren't you freezing?! I give you maddd points for wearing your short skirt in the snow!

I have a fetish for the lumber jack plaid look.. I even have cute shorts in deep plaid, I don't know where i'm going to wear them. Maybe someone will throw a plaid summer party or something and I will be able to wear them!-Joke.

Cute blog, i'm jealous of how gorgeous your hair is!

  40. Your description of yourself and your attires are always hilarious. I like the skirt too, it is quite pretty. I have a silver silk skirt just like that, it goes back and forth between giveaway pile and closet.

BTW red hair looks so so good on you. Now that I am seeing it in action I really think it was the perfect choice.

  41. i love the skirt and i think you've stopped it from looking slutty styled with the shirt and jacket :) x

  42. LOVE this outfit. That skirt is definitely short-short-short, but I think it works.

I agree with you on the ear thing too - I had a friend with gauged ears and one time I was sitting next to her, and I just said, "Girl, you need to get away from me, your ears stink." Gauged ears smell like rotting skin forever. Gross.

  43. That skirt is dangerously short! I like :) Also, I wish the worst of winter was behind me, we just got about another foot of snow :\

  44. I LOVE the juxtaposition of the flannel shirt with the feminine skirt. Very unexpected and therefore very visually interesting. I think the skirt looks great on you, but I know what you mean...I have several things in my closet that I truly do not feel are flattering to my body shape at ALL...and I don't even feel great when I wear them...yet I can't bring myself to part with them!
