Backwards with a denim vest

This dress is part of a clothes swap, so it'll be off to another fabulous blogger in the next couple of days! I'm the first one to get it, so I can't show you how anyone else styled it, but I wore it backwards and with a denim vest. I can't wait to see how all ma other ladies wear it!

I also wore my gorgeous new Jeffrey Campbell boots! I got them from Free People, for more than 50% off their original price. I didn't even realize they were Jeffrey Campbell until they were delivered yesterday...that company owns my soul. Really.

The weather was so nice here today! Birds chirping. Sun shining. I almost went out without a coat, but decided against it since it's still quite nippy out. I hit up Savers again today and found a Pendleton duffle coat for $20 (and some other stuff...of course...). I'm going to wash it, clean it, delouse it, whatever, and debut it this weekend!

  2. I'm really obsessed with dresses in that style at the moment. I love the sleeve length on you! It's such a great dress. You look lovely.

  3. I agree that the sleeve length is perfect. I'm not a fan of cap sleeves or short sleeves. Anyway I can't really tell the dress is worn backwards! All I know is that this outfit has a hint of summer in it and the scarf made it even more so. So I guess this dress is part of the bloggerhood of the travelling dress then!

  7. I had been looking at that dress for awhile. It doesn't look too short on you but I think you and I established I'm like four inches taller than you so it would probably be "Say hello to Brianna's Ass" time in it...eek.

I don't know how your legs aren't black and blue from frost bite. It's like 10 degrees here. The polar bears can have their arctic winds and temps back!!!

  8. Girl, you are brave going out in the snow with a dress on! More power to ya haha. Lovely shoes, I love the picture where they're slung over the branch by the laces.

I've abandoned outside pics here in uk for at least a month or 2 still and the snow is long gone, im just chicken!
I want your shoes!!! & love how you've photographed them.

Re. the comment on my blog, you are such a babe, i do not look that good haha. And yea i was thinking maybe a lip liner would help fix the red colour...
i think its mainly the lipstick im using is really soft (its actually called 'lip balm' with vitimin e and stuff), oh well, i'll manage!

  22. You look so great in this outfit. How cool is this clothes swap thing? I love this idea. What a score on those Jeffrey Campbell boots. Amazing. Love it.

You asked me what I consider super sale. That skirt was originally 128 and i got it for 69. That's pretty good, I think. I mean, finding it for 14 would have been better, but I'm glad I bought it.

  25. The shoes are an instant YESSS - love them! The denim vest more of a ??? which is a good thing because a) it looks great on you b) anything that makes you look twice is good in fashion and c) I haven't seen anything like this for a while = double good.
    And beautiful pictures again!

  26. This is so cute. Nice dress, the clothes swap idea sounds really interesting. How cool that you shook things up and wore it backwards. Great shoes and love the denim vest! http://thearcenciel.blogspot.com/

  27. I didn't get a chance to comment on your new hair, and I do love your blonde locks, but you still look gorgeous and lovely with your new color. And those J Campbell boots are to die for.

By the way, all your photos of snow and an actual real winter wonderland is starting to make me resent the hot and sunny San Diego weather. And it doesn't help that the snow makes such a gorgeous backdrop to your photos, lol.

  35. I have no idea how I missed this post, but apparently, I did. It looks so cold out there. You really suffer for your art.

Everything shut down over here because the roads were iced over and I think the snow was knee high. A lady got killed by a snow plow and the roads were pretty treacherous. We got more storms acoming....

I bought Foucault's(?) book "Discipline and Punish", "All Just Glass" by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (YA, but I grew up reading her stuff so it's nostalgia) and textbooks for school. I'm about as interesting as a doorknob. No Lauren Conrad books for me!
