Project Scarf: the Displaced Accessory

Finally, I am continuing Project Scarf. Alls I did this time was tie it on my beloved bag to add a little bit of interest to it. This is my go-to bag: recently, I've been using this one day in and day out, so dressing it up with this scarf is fun and made it less boring. Yeah!

This is my new coat from Tulle that I got for $55 on Black Friday. It's nice, albeit the sleeves are a bit long! Winter's ice makes heels hazardous, so I've been turning to my favorite casual shoe lately: Converse. I think they make for a fun weekend look.

Thanks to my photo bitch (my boyfriend) for taking these pictures outside of J.C. Penney on a freezing day. I'm seriously counting the days down till Spring.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out The Guest Post Group! It's a new project I'm starting aimed at promoting your blog and making connections with other bloggers in the process. Check it out and let me know if you're interested!

Coat: Tulle
Pants: Gap
Handbag: Steven by Steve Madden
Scarf: Madewell
Shoes: Converse

  2. *sigh* That second photo... it's so intimate. It's the kind of view your lover would have of you as he had the privilege of being in your presence. You are so lovely and your bf is so lucky.

The scarf adds a nice touch to the bag. And the coat is cute. I like long sleeves: they're delightfully feminine.

I look forward to future scarf ideas!

  3. 1. Why are you not on a billboard somewhere? You look straight out a catalogue or a magazine editorial. You know, the ones where the model is casually strutting down the street because she's too cool to look at anyone else?

    2. I am going to email you about the Guest Post Group when all my finals hoopla settles down.

  4. Ashley, I love how stylish yet comfortable you are. I love my converse - girls can't be walking around in heels everyday, right?! And I love tying my scarf around my bag - especially when it gets windy/cold, I just untie and put it around my neck

  12. Great coat! I sometimes use scarves to give a bag a makeover. I don't know how you can manage Converse on ice though - I always slide over ice on them! xxx

  15. I love the coat and what you did with the scarf! Don't worry about the long arms, I didn't even notice. I find a lot of coats don't have arms long enough for me and my wrists end up freezing so I would prefer longer sleeves... : )

And I am hating this coldness, too. It has been absolutely freezing this winter.
