Jaded

I can't decide if this outfit is a little drab or not. I want to say no, but something inside of me is saying, "Yeah, Ashley. You boring." I mean, I don't know how a leopard print jacket and sequin skirt could be boring, but whatevs. I was obsessed with the combination of seafoam green and leopard print a few months ago, so I thought I could make my adoration a little more season-appropriate and change it to jade green and leopard print (although the green in the pictures is more teal...silly lighting). I bought the nail polish yesterday ("Going Incognito" by Essie) and love it.

I also picked up some of those tights with the dots (with the dots!) that seem to be so popular right now. $7 at Target and they've already got a snag in them. DO NOT WANT.

Thanks for all your support, everyone! I totally appreciate it! I'm done with school now so I'll be posting a lot more regularly now, yay. I'm also thinking another giveaway is in order soon...whatchu think?

There's still time to join the Guest Post Group, so be sure to contact me if you're interested!

Jacket: Topshop
Skirt: ? (I got it at Bloomingdales)

  1. Fabulous!! I don't think its boring it at all actually! I love the clutch and the sequin skirt is fantastic! And the colors really do go with the season! Ugh, I hate it when tights snag first thing! They're still really cute though! And congratulations on being done with school! Good luck with everything! :)

  2. I called that nail polish from a mile away. That's sad. Really sad. I don't think it's drab. It may seem that way because the colors don't contrast much from afar, but the jade clutch adds that small pop of color. That and your awesome nails! I almost bought a new polish today, but went with lipstick instead. Now I want to buy more polish. What are you doing to me, Ashley?!?!

  7. You look great
The pop of color is fab and the nails are great. My friends think I am crazy when I stray over to unusual colors.
Can't to see what unfolds for you on your next chapter in life.

  8. Your hair is gorgeous. Just stunning. The hair I dream to have.
I love your jade transition from sea foam green! Both are unexpected with leopard and both work fabulously.
Bummer about the tights, but good to know. I've been eying pairs lately and haven't yet committed to purchasing. I'll veer away from the Target version when i take the plunge into polka dot tights.

  9. I don't get boring vibes from this look, more of a classic look! Love that nail polish! I have been getting into nail polish lately, I am really into Orly's brand.

  10. I've had the same problem with my target polka dot tights! RIDICULOUS. I had another pair before from a different store that did the exact same thing... SUCH a bummer. I love how they look, but hate how quickly they fall apart!
P.S. SO glad you found my blog, lady! If you're ever down in the Cities, we should most definitely have an MN blogger meet-up :)

  11. Hmmm... not boring, just lacking contrast. As much as I like the tights, lighter ones might have brightened the outfit and given more attention to the animal-print.

Congrats on finishing school! That's an achievement to be proud of.

  25. Drab? You're kidding, right? This look is fabulous... I've rarely seen leopard print look subtle but you've put this together perfectly so that the first thing people think when they see it isn't, "Oh, another leopard coat." I love the jade clutch and that nailpolish is amazing! Oh, and your hair is gorgeous, too- it has such great movement in these photos :)

  38. My goodness you are a stunner! If this is your boring outfit... well, I'd love to see your not so boring outfits! They're probably just drop dead gorgeous.

I actually bought a pair those of sheer polka tights from Target for my bestfriend for Christmas today! Crossing my fingers they don't rip quickly...

I want to also thank you for being one of my newest followers! :)

  39. I love how you mixed up the textures/patterns, Ashley. And I'm sorry those dotted tights are already snagged - snagged tights suck! But they look great. I'm guilty of wearing my tights, whether or not they're snagged - I'm just too cheap to buy another pair.
