Flora







It's only Tuesday, I'm supposed to be on vacation, and it's been a terrible week so far. So, you know, that's totally awesome. I just received this dress from Mod Cloth and planned on wearing it less vintage-y sweet, but it didn't quite work out that way. I was originally thinking dress, black belt, piles of jewelry, and black boots. Instead, I put on the total opposite. Way to go.

On a totally different note...has anyone heard anything about AmeriCorps before? I'm doing a three and a half month internship this fall (graduation requirement), but there's also an AmeriCorps position open at the same location...my future supervisor is REALLY pushing it, saying how great an experience it is, but it seems like she's just trying to be a good salesperson. My three month internship is unpaid, but the AmeriCorps position offers a monthly stipend...the only catch is it's a year long thing, and I'm afraid of commitment. So, anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything or had any ideas.

  14. Gorgeous as usual. I wouldn't normally pick these clothes up in a store, but you make them look really good. Also, what's on the nails?

    How tall are you? You should consider plus size modeling because you have the curves and a really pretty face.

  17. Erica: You should! I always end up returning a lot of the stuff I order, but they have a decent return policy and I've never had any hassle from them about it.

    Brianna: YES. Me too. I hate being tied down. I can't believe I worked my old job for two and a half years.

    Alyse & Gina: I'm 5'4" and a size 4/6...didn't realize that classified as plus size these days. Times they are a-changin'.

    Greenish nail polish. I'm in love. Going to do a post about it soon.

    Gets: About the job thingy--yes, I would love the money...but I was kind of half planning on moving next May, so it kind of ties me down for a little bit. But it pays like, $12.50/hr, and I'm not going to find a job that pays that much anywhere else in this economy. I don't know. So confusing!

  18. Adore your dress! It looks gorgeous on your body, and the print is so lovely!

    I haven't heard of AmeriCorps before, but it does sound a bit like PeaceCorps. If it's a great experience opportunity, I'm going to push you towards trying it out. It is definitely a commitment, but from my experience, things that require commitment are usually worth it.
